The rules of Nok

Nok is played by two competitive players and takes about 2-10 minutes.

The players take turns in placing their pieces from their tray onto the table in the middle.

Each placed piece earns points, calculated as:
worth of piece * distance to the player's side

  • Triangle 1x1: 0.5 points
  • Rectangle 1x1: 1 point
  • Rectangle 1x2: 2 points
  • Rectangle 4x2: 4 points

A player can only place pieces adjacent to his own pieces, aligning to their corners. It is thus advisable to build towards the other player's side to earn points.

The goal is to end the game while ahead in points. A game ends when the acting player can't take any more moves.
